Bruce Brown, CEO (Formerly CIO)

Bruce Brown worked for thirty years in telecom and information technology implementing operating ERP, Billing, HR and Business Intelligence systems.  Recently retired after five years as the CIO at T-Mobile USA in Seattle, he began his career at Southern Bell / BellSouth in Atlanta.  After working in multiple departments and managing teams in Operator Services, Billing and Collection and Telephone Fraud Management, he moved into the cellular side of the business supporting systems for BellSouth Cellular, one of the predecessors of today’s AT&T.  Next, Bruce spent four years building new cellular businesses in New Zealand, Germany, Israel and Argentina.

After eighteen years with BellSouth, Bruce left the company to help move LHS, a billing system software company, from Germany to the U.S taking it public.  The company was ultimately sold to Schlumberger.  In 1998, he became the head of I.T. for Powertel, a start-up wireless telephone company serving the Southeast.  In May of 2001, the company was acquired by Deutsche Telekom AG to form T-Mobile in the US.   

Bruce and his family returned to the metropolitan Atlanta area in February of 2007.  He operates a right-of-way acquisition and property investment firm and an investment advisory for venture partner funding.  Since August of 2007, Bruce has served as the CEO of Instawares, LLC a venture funded Ecommerce Company that sells commercial equipment and supplies to the restaurant industry.

Nancy D'Amico

As Senior Vice President and Chief Information Officer, Nancy D'Amico is responsible for all of LeasePlan USA project management, information and communications technology functions. She also serves as a member of the Executive Management Team.  Nancy's 26 years of experience includes 12 years at Delta Air Lines and 13 years with NCR Corporation.  Her background includes leadership positions in software development, systems engineering, database management, quality assurance, data center operations and project management. She holds a Bachelor of Science degree in Information and Computer Science from the University of Pittsburgh and an MBA from Roberto C. Goizueta Business School at Emory University.

LeasePlan USA, a subsidiary of LeasePlan Corp. N.V., is a global leader in vehicle leasing and fleet management solutions. The company, which manages more than 1.4 million vehicles worldwide, offers clients customized plans for total fleet cost reduction through its technologically advanced products and dedication to customer service.

Ron Surfield is a Senior Director at Turner Broadcasting System (a TimeWarner Company), where he leads the eMarketing department supporting Turner’s portfolio of websites, including CNN.com, CartoonNetwork.com, NBA.com, NASCAR.com, and many other global brands.  His teams operate eCommerce, User Registration, Email Campaign Management and Data Warehousing/Reporting product lines that service tens of millions of users.

Ron holds an MBA from The Wharton School, and a BS in Computer Science from the US Naval Academy.  After graduation from the Naval Academy, he served as a Surface Warfare Officer (nuclear power specialty) in the US Navy for 5 years before embarking on his civilian career.  Ron has since held a range of management roles in Sales, Marketing & Operations throughout his 15-year career in telecomm and internet firms.  Prior to joining Turner in 2007, he managed the Wholesale DSL product team at EarthLink, a $40MM business. 

Ron is an occasional contributing author to Digital Media Buzz, and operates a number of microsites and online business model incubators.  He lives with his wife and 4 children in Johns Creek, Georgia, and can be reached at ron@ronsurfield.com.

Rob Consolazio is the Vice President of Business Development at Vaultus Mobile Technology.  Rob has over 20 years of experience in a variety of leadership roles in the wireless communications, software applications, and communications hardware industries.  Prior to joining Vaultus, Rob was Vice President of Marketing and Business Development at Cbeyond Communications in Atlanta, GA, a leading VoIP provider to small to medium businesses.  Rob was also the Chief Marketing Officer at Stratos Global, the world’s largest distributor of advanced satellite communications services, and he led Nextel Communication's award winning business applications group.  Rob served for five years in US Navy as a Communications and Weapons Officer aboard a guided missile frigate.  Rob has degree in Physics from the University of Virginia, and an MBA from the University of Georgia. 

A 25 year veteran in IT infrastructure optimization, Don Schrenk has been delivering solutions to simplify application delivery, recovery, and consolidation for the core datacenter and the work at home employee.

Don has over 25 years experience in the IT infrastructure optimization space with delivering solutions to simplify application delivery, recovery, and consolidation for the core datacenter and the work at home employee.  Prior to Syscom, Don was part of Mercury Interactive, working directly with CIO’s in the area of IT Governance to help IT show its value to the business. Don is an entrepreneur having owned and sold two IT companies, one offering private labeled technical support services for ISP’s and the other providing IT data protection and disaster prevention.  Don is a graduate of the University of Central Florida with a degree in Business Management.

Along with two other individuals, Pamela Terry and Laura Ramey, Anthony Huang launched the Techxans organization back in 2000.  Techxans.org has sustained the ups and downs of the Information Technology industry for the past 7 years and continues to strive and grow in size and capabilities.  In 2001, Techxans reached national and international attention for helping to launch EnronX.org which was the largest Ex-Enron contact site and was mentioned on the front page of The Wall Street Journal and CIO Magazine.  In January 2007, Techxans formed Techxans InterActive Broadcast providing Internet TV broadcasting, strategic online advisory services for Techxans Corporate Members & Sponsoring companies.  Prior to Techxans, Anthony Huang was the CEO of Rexton InterActive Consulting that led the market in providing strategic web consulting for over 100 major clients across 23 different industries. Anthony also served as the CIO for 2 healthcare ventures.  Anthony began his career with Apple Computers and Ernst & Young and was a recipient of the Entrepreneur of the Year Award in 1998 with The Greater Houston Partnership.  He has been a speaker at numerous conferences including InformationWeek, Gartner Group Midsize Enterprise Summit, and Red Herring Venture Forums. Anthony graduated from the University of Texas at Austin with a BBA in Management Information Systems and lives in Sugar Land with his wife and two children.

Pam Terry began her foray into technology in 1994 and has a proven track record in sales and marketing in data, voice, collocation, IT consulting, application development, ecommerce, and technology training.  She was most recently an Account Executive with Time Warner Telecom, a Major Accounts Consultant in the Business Division of Time Warner Cable and VP of Marketing for ERGOS Technology.  During her tenure in the industry, Pam had the pleasure of co-founding Techxans with Tony and even created the “Techxans” name.   Prior to Pam’s technology industry experience, Pam was Executive Director of the Galleria Chamber of Commerce and previously provided marketing consulting in the accounting firm industry.  Throughout her career, Pam has been involved in community and trade organizations, having obtained Accreditation in Public Relations from the Public Relations Society of America, and serving on the boards of several charitable and membership groups such as the American Organ Transplant Association and the Association of IT Professionals.  Pam is currently serving as Regional Director of Powerful Women International, a women’s empowerment membership group.  Pam brings a wealth of knowledge and expertise in association management and technology to her role as Executive Director of Techxans and Tech Execs.  Originally from Brownsville, Texas, Pam has been in Houston since 1971.
